Erika and I have just returned from a magical experience in Africa. Thanks to your continued support, literally thousands of children and families are moving to new opportunities and a brighter future.
We were on the go for almost 3 weeks, and I have many stories to share with you, but for today I will start with some photos.
I haven’t found the right words to share the feeling of being welcomed by hundreds of children, along with their mothers, fathers, grandparents and community members. Humbling just doesn’t do it justice
What I can tell you is that we were surrounded with love and gratitude. The work that The Unstoppable Foundation is doing is nothing short of miraculous.
I loved experiencing first hand, the results of the incredible partnership of The Unstoppable Foundation and the tireless work and commitment of the local people to create a better future for all.
I believe each of us are living our legacy daily. Being in the presence of true heroes who really embrace the responsibility of how their actions affect future generations was almost surreal.
Most of us born in developed nations would feel rather hopeless at the thought of having to go to the river to collect water for our family’s survival.
What we were able to experience was the hope brought by the powerful partnership that Unstoppable has with the members of the community.
The work on the ground is not about “fixing” or “correcting” others, but about a conscious inquiry into how we can assist with what the community sees as its highest and best.
Simple construction and many hands transformed the learning environment from a dark, dirty room to an “Unstoppable” environment that is clean and full of light.
Education is the key to breaking cycles of poverty. The 5 pillar model that The Unstoppable Foundation brings to communities not only addresses education, but also provides access to clean water, food and nutrition, healthcare and education for parents to earn an income so they can provide a sustainable future for themselves and their families.
As a community, we have raised over $35,000 to date and are currently impacting 350 individuals. Together we can do more.
